Move2THz General Assembly Meeting in Munich, Germany

On 15–16 January, the Move2THz consortium convened in Munich, Germany, for its General Assembly meeting, marking the completion of the project’s mid-term milestone (M18). The consortium would like to sincerely thank Fraunhofer EMFT for hosting the meeting.

The first day of the meeting focused on reviewing the technical progress achieved during the first half of the project. Partners presented updates from several technical work packages, highlighting achieved milestones as well as key bottlenecks and breakthroughs encountered so far. In addition, the consortium held its first External Advisory Board (EAB) meeting, bringing together representatives from industry and academia to discuss Move2THz use cases and potential applications, and to provide strategic feedback on the project’s direction.
The day concluded with an informal networking activity, including a visit to historically significant sites in Munich, providing an opportunity for further exchange among partners.

The second day was dedicated to forward planning and strategic alignment. Discussions focused on defining next steps for the coming six months and finalising key milestones for the second project year. A dedicated Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) workshop was also held, representing an important step in aligning Move2THz innovations with the objectives of the European Green Deal.
In addition, participants visited the Fraunhofer EMFT premises, where they were introduced to ongoing technological developments and examples of successful collaboration with industry partners.

The consortium meeting provided a valuable platform for technical exchange, strategic planning, and strengthening collaboration among partners. The Move2THz consortium now looks ahead to its Review Meeting in France this summer, which will coincide with the celebration of the project’s second year.
