Move2Thz Consortium Convenes First Annual Review in Brussels
The Move2THz project consortium successfully assembled in Brussels from June 30 to July 2, 2025, for a three-day series of strategic meetings, marking a significant milestone in the first year of the Horizon Europe-funded initiative.
The team started with a two-day General Assembly meeting (June 30–July 1), where all consortium partners came together to assess the accomplishments of the project’s first year and ensure coherence across work packages. Each partner presented their results and contributions, fostering an open and constructive environment for discussion and coordination. The consortium also reviewed the upcoming milestones, technical challenges, and collaborative synergies required to advance the project in the coming phases.
On the second day of the General Assembly, the consortium engaged in a key workshop, “Commercial Exploitation and 6G RF Markets,” which initiated important discussions around the commercial potential of Move2THz technologies and helped set the strategic direction for exploitation and standardisation efforts.
The highlight of the three-day meeting was the Project Review meeting held on July 2, where external experts joined the consortium to evaluate the progress of Move2THz. Their feedback was both motivating and reflective, acknowledging the substantial achievements made during the first year of the project. The reviewers offered constructive insights and practical suggestions that will serve as a valuable compass for steering the project into its second year. The Move2THz consortium values their guidance and is committed to applying the recommendations to drive continued innovation and impact.
Project Move2THz will address today’s InP shortcomings and build a mature European ecosystem to obtain a commercially and industry viable platform for use in various mass-market applications utilizing the higher frequency spectrum towards THz and beyond.
It is supported by the Chips Joint Undertaking and its members, including the top-up funding by National Authorities of France, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Belgium, under Grant Agreement n° 101139842.
