First External Advisory Board Meeting: An Important Step Toward Exploitation

On January 15, the Move2THz consortium held its first External Advisory Board (EAB) meeting, marking an important milestone in the project’s development. While the project consortium met in person in Munich at the premises of Fraunhofer EMFT, the External Advisory Board members joined the meeting virtually, enabling broad international participation.

During the meeting, the consortium presented the latest project progress and research results, which generated strong interest among the EAB members. This was followed by an open and constructive discussion on market potential and possible exploitation paths. The exchange highlighted the importance of external expert perspectives, as independent opinions play a key role in validating project directions and ensuring alignment with real market needs.

The Advisory Board provided valuable insights and strategic guidance, particularly in relation to the photonics and RF markets, helping to guide the project toward meaningful real-world impact and future exploitation opportunities.

The Move2THz project is supported by a strong and diverse External Advisory Board representing leading industry players and top universities:

✔️ Nokia – Mohand Achouche
✔️ PhotonDelta – Abdul Rahim
✔️ Ericsson – Fredrik Tillman
✔️ University of Oulu (6G Flagship) – Prof. Anna Pärssinen
✔️ Penn State University – Prof. Madhavan Swaminathan
✔️ University of California, San Diego (UCSD) – Prof. Peter Asbeck
✔️ Qorvo – Dr. Pete Zampardi
✔️ Qualcomm – Ranadeep Dutta

The Move2THz partners sincerely thank all External Advisory Board members for their valuable engagement and guidance and look forward to continued cooperation as the project moves forward.
