Move2THz at the MikroSystemTechnik Kongress 2025, Duisburg

27-29 October 2025

During the MikroSystemTechnik Kongress 2025 in Duisburg, InP-based technology took center stage in several plenary talks and poster sessions. The Move2THz project was well represented and sparked lively discussions across the event.

Prof. Nils Weimann (University of Duisburg-Essen) showcased the project through his poster presentation, “MOVPE Growth of Lattice-Matched Ga(x)In(1-x)As(y)P(1-y) for Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors in 6G Applications.” The work, co-authored by Alexander Possberg, Jonathan Abts, Fabian van Essen, Jonas Watermann, Konrad Müller, Hao Zhang, Jan Ebbert, Lisa Liborius, and Nils Weimann, attracted strong interest from attendees.

Michael Heunen (AIXTRON) further promoted the Move2THz initiative, engaging with experts and stakeholders during the poster session and panel discussions to explore collaboration opportunities and share insights.

MicroSystemTechnology Congress 2025 — a premier gathering of innovators, thought-leaders and practitioners in the field of microsystems and microelectronics. Under the motto “Wandel durch Fortschritt” (“Change through Progress”), this congress explores how microelectronics and microsystem technologies are at the heart of the global transformation driven by digitalisation, renewable energy, mobility, and shifting geopolitical and climate-related challenges.
