Move2THz at the EuMW2025 (Utrecht)

21-26 September, 2025

The Move2THz project was referenced during the STMicroelectronics oral presentation at the European Microwave Week 2025 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

The presentation was delivered by Pascal Chevalier (ST) on the topic “Where and how could InP be competitive vs. SiGe for 6G?”. It was part of Workshop WS01, “Advancements in Technologies and Circuits Leading to 6G”, held on Sunday, 21 September 2025, and co-authored by Frédéric Gianesello (ST).

Pascal Chevalier emphasized that while silicon technologies currently dominate the RF market due to their high integration level, cost efficiency, and manufacturing yield, III-V materials offer superior intrinsic properties, making them highly attractive for specialized applications. As the potential for substantial performance improvements in silicon technologies diminishes, the co-integration of silicon with III-V materials is emerging as a critical focus in the advancement of RF solutions.
