Move2THz partners contributed to the 22nd International Conference on Metal Organic Vapor Phase Epitaxy (ICMOVPE XXII), held on 12–17 July 2026 at the International Convention Center Jeju (ICC JEJU), Jeju Island, Republic of Korea.
ICMOVPE is a leading international forum dedicated to advances in metal organic vapor phase epitaxy (MOVPE). Since its launch in 1981, the conference has brought together researchers and industry experts working on fundamental and applied epitaxial technologies. The 2026 programme covered areas including growth science, III–V semiconductor materials and devices, oxides and dielectrics, 2D materials, advanced epitaxy and heterogeneous integration.
A highlight for the Move2THz community was the invited presentation “Growth Management of InP-Based Optoelectronic and Microelectronic Devices on InP-on-Silicon (InPoSi) Wafers.”
The talk was delivered by Dr. Jean Decobert of III-V Lab, a Move2THz partner, during the Phosphides session on 14 July 2026.
The work brought together researchers from several organisations: III-V Lab, Chalmers University of Technology, Low Noise Factory, Soitec and CEA-Leti. The authors were C. Besancon, D. Néel, N. Vaissière, E. Izquierdo, A. Elias, G. Daccord, J.L. Reverchon, O. Delorme, A. Wilk, N. Davy, V. Nodjiadjim, C. Mismer, F. Fortunato, J. Bergsten, H. Rodilla, B. Ghyselen, L. Sanchez, T. Bria, F. Fournel and J. Decobert.
The topic is closely aligned with the ambitions of Move2THz, which is developing a sustainable and industry-viable European InP platform and ecosystem for future high-frequency applications. A central objective of the project is to advance InP-on-Silicon (InPoSi) technology, enabling larger wafer sizes and manufacturing approaches compatible with established semiconductor production while reducing dependence on scarce InP resources.
Participation at ICMOVPE XXII provided an important opportunity to share results related to the technologies being advanced within the Move2THz ecosystem with the wider international semiconductor community.
