Move2THz was represented at the 52nd European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC 2026), held in Málaga, Spain, from 20–24 September 2026. The conference brought together the optical communications and photonics community to exchange the latest research, technologies and perspectives shaping future communication systems.
As part of the conference programme, Claire Besançon from III-V Lab contributed to the workshop “Light sources for next-generation optical communication systems for AI datacenters.”
Her presentation, “InPoSi Integration Platform for Laser Sources: Achievements and Perspectives,” introduced the InPoSi integration platform and its fabrication processes, with particular focus on the integration of MQW-based laser sources.
The contribution was particularly relevant to the ambitions of Move2THz, which is working to advance InP-based semiconductor technologies and scalable integration approaches for future sub-THz applications. By developing technologies capable of operating at increasingly high frequencies, the project aims to contribute to the semiconductor capabilities required for future high-speed and high-capacity applications.
ECOC 2026 also provided an important opportunity to connect Move2THz with the wider optical communications and photonics community and to exchange perspectives on the technologies that will underpin future connectivity.
ECOC 2026 offered a valuable setting to share Move2THz developments, strengthen connections across the research and industry community, and place the project's work within the broader conversation on the future of high-performance communications.
